Our Story

From a Ukrainian orphanage to an engine that builds whole companies.

CloviTek is an AI-native company that builds and runs software and operations for founders. One named human is accountable; a fleet of AI agents does the work. This is the story of how that started — and where we actually are today.

“I am a simple man with complex ambitions.”

Vitaly Kirkpatrick, Founder of CloviTek
The thesis

Bring an idea. Leave with a business.

Building a company used to require assembling a team — engineers, designers, a CFO, marketers — before you could ship anything. We think an AI-native company can compose that team as software, run it end to end, and let a founder go from idea to a running business without hiring a department first. We are proving it the only credible way: on ourselves.

Founded and led by Vitaly Kirkpatrick.
Founder & architect

When we say “we,” we mean a lean founding team working alongside a fleet of AI agents that build and operate our platforms. One real person is accountable for what ships. The fleet is the muscle; the founder is the face — and we never blur the two into “our staff.”

How we got here

An agent factory, built in the open.

We did not start with a pitch deck of milestones. We started by building the fleet that builds — and using it to ship real products.

The problem

Teams are the bottleneck

Every good idea stalls at the same wall: you need people to build it. Hiring is slow, expensive, and risky before you have proof.

The bet

Compose the team as agents

Instead of hiring roles, we built them — a CEO agent, an architect, developers, QA, security, vendor specialists — each with a scope and a gate.

The proof

Dogfood first

We built our own platforms with the fleet before offering it to anyone: 19 live products today out of 46 built, driven by 135+ AI agents and workers.

Where we are

Early-stage, and upfront about it

We are pre-revenue and still building. Our proof is the software we run, not a wall of client logos we don't have. That is the whole point of dogfooding.

The journey

One instinct, seven chapters.

CloviTek did not appear in 2026 — it evolved. From a Ukrainian orphanage to an engine that builds whole companies, the through-line never changed: when the tool you need doesn’t exist, build it. Milestones, not mythology — the plain version.

1A Ukrainian landscape representing the founder's early years in an orphanage
Ukraine — an orphanage

The boy nobody was building for

Vitaly was born in Ukraine and grew up in an orphanage and foster care until he turned eighteen. When no one is building a future for you, you learn to build one yourself — quietly, with whatever is in front of you. That was the first system: survival, designed from scratch.

The instinct behind every product the fleet ships started here — if the tool you need doesn’t exist, you build it.“Resilience is just engineering applied to a hard life.”
2Electronics and electrical engineering, the founder's university chapter
Chernivtsi, 2002

Learning how things work

A degree in electronics and electrical engineering at Chernivtsi National University. For the first time the world stopped being something that happened to him and became something he could take apart and understand — circuits, signals, cause and effect.

Engineering taught systems thinking — the same mental model behind how CloviTek architects software.“Every problem is inputs, transforms, and outputs.”
3Arriving in the United States in 2005 to build a new life
United States, 2005

Arriving with almost nothing

In 2005 Vitaly arrived in the United States with close to nothing and no safety net — driven by one belief: a better life was possible if he was willing to build it. He earned a BSc in Computer Science (2009) and later an MBA (2015) — two degrees, two continents of resilience.

Reinvention under constraint is a startup skill before it’s a personal one.“Reinvention is a startup skill before it’s a personal one.”
4The award-winning CloviFi WiFi HD audio transmitter
Salt Lake City, 2016–2017

CloviFi — make the hard thing effortless

The idea came at a gym: keep hearing the TV while moving between machines without bothering anyone. So he built CloviFi, a transmitter that streams TV audio privately to your phone and headphones. It became a CES 2018 Innovation Awards Honoree and a Commercial Integrator BEST Award winner — aimed at the millions worldwide living with hearing loss.

CloviFi taught the real craft — and the realization that the goal isn’t one product, it’s the ability to build whole businesses.“Take something hard and make it feel effortless.”
5The founder's published books, the storyteller chapter
Stories that heal

The storyteller chapter

Vitaly wrote his memoir, VITALY — The Misadventures of a Ukrainian Orphan, and later a love story, Finding Home in Love’s Echo. Building tools and telling stories turned out to be the same impulse: give people something that works and makes them feel seen.

The same human-quality AI narration that reads his chapters aloud now powers training videos and publishing tools.“Storytelling and engineering, running on one engine.”
6The SpectroScience NIR spectroscopy course, where the factory was discovered
2025 — SpectroScience

Building a course, discovering a factory

In 2025, as a near-infrared spectroscopy consultant and trainer in food and agriculture, Vitaly set out to build a 32-lesson course — narration, slide images, video assembly, autopublishing — built from scratch with his first AI agents. Halfway through he realized he hadn’t built a course. He’d built a factory.

Every capability made for one course was secretly a standalone product — the seed of the entire CloviTek fleet.“Every capability for one course was secretly a standalone product.”
7CloviTek in 2026: one engine running a fleet of branded AI platforms
2026 — CloviTek

One engine, a whole portfolio

CloviTek is that factory turned into a company: a single AI engine plus a fleet of 135+ specialized agents that produce and run branded platforms — 46 built and 19 live today across content, media, automation, legal, accessibility, security and leadgen. It’s the orphanage instinct grown up: if the tool doesn’t exist, build the thing that builds the tools.

Systems thinking at its highest altitude — not one app, but the machine that manufactures apps.“Not one app, but the machine that manufactures apps.”
A child who grew up with no system building a future for him learned the only durable skill that mattered: when the thing you need doesn’t exist, build it yourself, and make it work. That instinct moved through engineering school, through arriving in America with almost nothing, through an award-winning audio device born from a small human frustration, through memoirs written to help others feel seen — and finally through a spectroscopy course that turned out to be a factory in disguise. CloviTek isn’t a pivot from that life story; it’s its logical conclusion.

Founder’s books

We built the book experience for ourselves first.

Vitaly is a published author. This shelf — covers, details, and a free in-browser reader — is the exact experience CloviTek can build for any author with CloviNarrate and its publishing tools. We built it for ourselves before offering it to anyone.

Inside the book
How it worksThe cover grid, the free flip-book reader, and audiobook narration are all CloviTek capabilities. An author signs up, uploads a manuscript, and gets exactly this — a feature-rich listing and reader — under their own brand.
    What we believe

One integrated fleet is the edge.

A composed AI fleet delivers what a stack of disconnected tools and a slow agency can't: one team, analyst to QA, end to end. We plot ourselves against the two extremes we're built to beat.

    • One integrated fleet — a single composed team from requirements to QA, not a dozen point tools you wire together yourself. Every number on this site reads from a live source.
    • Automation-first — agents are the default workforce; humans supervise and stay accountable.
    • Gated, not trusted — nothing ships on a promise. Every build clears a spec, a no-stub guard, and a security and QA gate.
How we compare, on two things that matter: how much runs automatically (left → right) and how joined-up the team is (bottom → top). The best place to be is the top-right.

    Proof, not promises

We proved it on ourselves first.

FoodAgri, AudiobookSmith, and SpectroScience are real platforms our fleet built and runs. CloviBrand, CloviSEO, CloviScan, and CloviLeads are live products in our own portfolio, built the same gated way. They are the evidence behind everything we offer — the same process, the same agents, applied to your product next.

    How we work

A gated pipeline, not a promise.

    The team

A composed AI workforce — not headcount.

These are real AI role-agents, not people — each with its own role portrait, scope, and gate. Every one owns a single stage of the pipeline above and retrieves prior lessons before it acts. Portraits are illustrative identities for our agents; they are software, never presented as human employees.
